My egg incubator arrived, and so far it looks pretty impressive.  It arrived on Friday, which was sooner than I had anticipated.  I thought about filming the opening of the box, yet decided against it… mostly because I couldn’t wait till I checked it out.  So, I just decided to take a few photos instead.

I have been collecting fertilised eggs for 5 days now, and I have a dozen, enough to fill the incubator.  I have been running some tests of the incubator, to ensure that the temperature is constant, before I place the eggs within, so it will be a couple of days before I am ready to use it.  With the eggs that Ros has been incubating, and these ones, I will have more chickens then I know what to do with… which is a good problem.

Here is the incubator, along with some of the extra parts they sent.

Well, it has been a long time coming, many months of work… yet I have finally finished building the fence.  I had a lot of help in the last half of it, as my Neighbor wanted to help with finishing the job.  His assistance was very welcome as he actually worked as a carpenter, so he had a great amount of experience in this.  The only delay we really had at the end was that he went away for holidays, and had already bought all the materials for his half of the fence.  I would have completed it, yet the items were elsewhere.
